Well being up here in [glow=blue,2,300]ice land[/glow] we really only have a choice of two ereaders, the Kobo and the Kindle .. The DW has owned a Kobo ereader for about a year and she loves it.. her's isn't a fancy touch screen but it does have wifi IIRC ... I know the newer ereaders out there can also store pictures, music and I think all of them can check email too ...
I really need to read up on the features of the DW's Kobo, since we bought one for my mom for Christmas ...
Make sure in this type of dicussion you make sure you are confusing a Tablet and a Reader. Too many times I see people bying Readers and then want to run Apps like Word Processing, etc on it.
The happiest people don't have the best of everything, they just make the best of everything that they have! |
Phil, that is a good point.
The computer industry does up no favors when they blur the lines.
The Nook Tablet is no more of a tablet than the kindle fire.
They probably should have called it a Nook media tablet.
It does ebooks, movies, email, web, but does not have any word processing that I know of.
And it does it in color rather than black and white.
I'm waiting for the Sync system in DW's Ford Fusion and my Ford F150 to be upgraded to take dictation to send emails verbally while driving.
Oh no, wait a minute it does do that, I just don't have the right cell phone. Microsoft Sync and Apple Iphone don't do that. >:( Or display emails on the dash like some other cell phones do.
