At the Hershey RV show the hubby and I noticed on the back bumper of the Palomino hybrid a bumper step that was removable. What a great idea to be able to lock the ends. ANYBODY KNOW WHERE WE CAN GET ONE???

I don't know what it was you saw but you can get a bolt on receiver hitch and then attach a bike rack, spare tire, and even a little step.

Matt O 2006 Skyline Nomad 27' travel trailer.  Previously owned 1986 Coleman Columbia / 1992 Coleman Senecca / 1989 Born Free Class C RV.

Jen, Sorry we didn't bump into you and hubby at the show this weekend My son and I were looking at all the hybrids on Saturday from about noon to 5 pm . I didn't even know that palomino made expandables so we didn't walk down their rows. I looked online at them they are nice but to heavy for me. I am curious to see the step you are talking about. I will wait to see the picture.

I noticed that also on the Palaminos, thought it was kind of neat. I'm sure you can get one from Forest River.

We were looking at hybrids as well, and we think we have settled on a Jayco X23F. There is a Starcraft we like, but too heavy for the Grand Cherokee. I'm sure we missed a few models, but my wife didn't want to walk down every aisle. I know kids will lose patience at a show that big, but my wife was getting there too.

We saw the Roo's, Shamrock's, Jayco, Starcraft, Palamino's, Coachmen and the KZ's that were there. Did we miss any?

Best Regards,
Norm

No, they didn't have it, but after looking at the Starcrafts, and comparing the Jayco's we did see, we have concluded that is probably what we are going to go with. We have a dealer that has one here, so we will probably run over and take a look at it.

You'll probably have to call Forest River or go to a Palamino dealer to get one. It will probably cost you an arm and a leg. I'll just carry a foot stool.

Best Regards,
Norm

We have a 2008 jayco 19h and love it. Would like to run to fretz's to look around though. They only had Winnebago's at the rv show 🙁

Yes we saw all like norm and I spent the most time with Trailmanor and their rep for about 30 minutes. I absolutely love the trailmanor 2720 but i cant justify spending 28k plus on a trailer with a kid about to go to college in another year, and there was no place to store bins inside when its folded down.  However With that said  I totally fell head over heels for the  2014 starcraft  187 TB (its the 18 foot hybrid with 3 bunks) that can be had for about 17-18k might even settle for the  2014 jayco version  17z its the Jayco version of the 3 bunk for 16.5K Yes I know Jayco and Starcraft are owned by the same company.

I saw those Solaire's by Palomino last Feb at the Springfield RV show and was impressed.
I thought Forest River had upped the game in Hybrids with those new units.
Very different from the other FR products in fit and finish.
The only thing I didn't like was their new colors outside.
Black and grey. Who ever thought black propane tank covers and black roof vents and a black cover on the AC was a good idea? 😮
They do offer them in traditional white (for an extra fee of course), but I've yet to see one at the local Pal dealer.
If I were going to get a new HTT, the white Solaire would be at the top of my list.
The 199x has a 60 gal grey water tank. The first of that size that I know of in an HTT.
That would be enough for a (10 DAY) week of  camping without hookups for me. No need to carry a grey tote.
