I'm wondering if anyone has considered lifting their hybrid. I know it's talked about with PUPs, I'm wondering if it can be done economically and easily enough on what I've got. The main reason I'm thinking this is that the drain connection is awfully low and if the the camper were a bit higher things would drain out much nicer.

My hybrid is quite high enough, I wouldn't want it an inch higher.

Mike,

I looked in to this last year.  The are 2 ways to do it with the Torflex axles.  One is to add a spacer between the axle and frame.  Jayco/Starcraft sent my question too BAL who makes the frame.  BAL stated that adding a spacer is a no go because the frame was "specifically engineered to support the weight in a certain way and any modification to that could cause the frame to fail"  That leaves the only other viable and the most expensive way, replacing the axles with ones where the arms are set at a higher angle.

Thanks Dave, so we're in the same boat for the time being, I'm not going the more expensive route, are you?

I did bring it to a old time independent trailer/RV repair guy.  His recommendation was just to deal with it.

I'm not sure what I'm going to do if anything.  I do know that I'd just assume trade the trailer in and upgrade before I lay out thousands for new axles and instillation.  :-

I will trade up before spending extra $ as well. When I do trade up If it is another Jayco I will order it with the 2" raised suspension. Maybe a power tongue jack too. Have to say though DW, the family and I are very happy with our camper
