Thanks for all the warm and cozy welcome's! We are gearing up for an Halloween camping trip. Our Boomer has earned it's stripes, we have painted the boomer and now we are ordering stripes, boomers and kanga's and of course it's text "The Boomerang". Has anyone painted and added their own style to the outside? Any pointers to what I should do inside with curtains, cushion covers within our Australian theme zone? Thx in advanced for any answers.
Oh yea, thanks Campdad for the invite...like the site already!  😉

Barry, I have got to see your Boomerang!!!  8)  Love the Aussie theme!

Are your going to decorate with boomerangs?  Do you throw boomerangs?

The "Boom" in my handle is because our family enjoys playing with boomerangs.  We taught several people how to throw and catch at the GA Fall Rally back in September.  Twas quite fun!!!

I do hope to see The Boomerang someday!

Well Thanks BoomJammer! Barry and I are decorating the Boomerang on outside only as of now. We have stripped it's stripes and Coleman logo's because they were a bit rugged. We have painted the exterior a silver color and in the process of ordering new stripes green and gold because that's Olympic Australian color that Barry preferred. We have ordered Boomerang and Kangaroo Decal's and as well as lettering for it's title; "The Boomerang". Because it always returns. We are looking for ideas for inside the boomer to decorate. I would like to change the curtains, flooring and seat covers just because they are a bit outdated not that they really need it. I'm looking for ideas...feel free to share if you have any!  8)

Our Boomerang came with a kitchen Mod; Since the 1985 Coleman Chesapeake came with this kitchen mod; the entire kitchen; sink and stove comes out of the Boomer and hang's to its outside wall. This has allowed more room and the cabinet doors underneath where sink once was, it's table top we use this for additional seating or table top. So far we have placed plexi glass on top of this cabinet and everywhere we go we collect a paper memento. This maybe a post card, a trail walk map, menu from res truant we have eaten at or a bumper sticker like the bumper sticker we just got from our latest camping trip that reads; "Happiness is under my kiltz".  😀 This sticker came from an Scottish Festival we just attended and camped at.

Barry my DH, born and raised in Australia, know's how to throw an boomerang...but its not highly our thing to do. We only have boomerangs that I have gotten our kids when I was in Australia over ten years ago visiting.  The theme is to honor him as he loves our boomer just as much as I do.
We are looking forward to these rallies just keep me posted as we look forward in adventures together ...they sound fun!

Boomjammer was. But I don't think Boomerang was there. Boomerang is new to this site and they live near Campdad . Which means they are above yall in Alabama.

No I wasn't. Just got our pop up a few months back..and have only taken the boomer out a few times now. Local, so far. Well the gulf state park in our state is a good little drive, six hours or so. The rest have been one hour and another twenty mint. Away from home base.

Deborah,
Again, I love the Australian theme.  Can't wait to meet you, Barry, and your crew!  ...maybe even throw some boomerangs together!

I just returned from the 2012 World Boomerang Championships in Brazil.  Had a great time there with boomerang throwers from all around the world.  Turns out, the next championships are going to be in Perth, Australia in 2014.  I'm definitely looking forward to that!
