These past six months have been very busy for my family and me. I accepted a permanent position to teach Special Ed kids at the local high school along with working in a program called Jobs America Graduates (JAG). The JAG program takes kids who might otherwise fall through the cracks and readies them for meaningful employment. The program I'm with is one of two in the U.S. having Special Ed kids in JAG. We were the first in Washington State.
Second... well... CJ finally made an honest man out of me. We exchanged vows this past weekend at our campsite at Cape Disappointment State Park at the mouth of the Columbia River/shores of the Pacific Ocean. My nephew Phil, who helped me do my cross country move three years ago, officiated the ceremony. Attendance was mostly my family, some of CJ's and another Apache owner from Oregon.
We spent three glorious nights out on the coast and oddly, saw only sprinkles of rain. We got home to a deluge. We're also gearing up for our next trip in less than two weeks to the Wenatchee National Forest near Cle Elum, WA.
Congrats to both of you. CJ, you got your work cut out girl, hope you can turn Steve into something .. lol ...
A Hawaiian Shirt Steve ??!!! At least the Minister dressed up.. (even though the Leafs could win their way out of a wet paper bag, with a hole in it..) ..
Again Congrats and first round is on me when (CJ) you can convince Steve to travel East and North into the furin Country know as "Leafs Nation"
Thanks all. It's good to be back.
Craig, CJ says we've got a lot of traveling in our own nation "then we'll see what happens". The Leafs jersey was my youngest brother, Pat's idea. Phil's girlfriend wore a matching one. I think Pat had intended the jersey for him and his girlfriend but said g/f's oldest was graduating from University of Washington that weekend. As for the Hawai'ian shirt? That's one of my "work shirts". I try to wear colorful clothing at school. It keeps the kids focused on me instead of drifting off to wherever. 'sides, I like 'em.
Jim, CJ will use my screen name for the time being. Whenever she decides, she can set up with her own account.
