Yep, another new member here. Was lurkin' for awhile, while we were doing homework and searching for a pop-up. We considered ourselves lucky when we found a 2007 LivinLite Quicksilver 8.0 for sale in CT. Pretty mint condition and we felt like we stole it when they accepted a low-ball offer. We (myself, DW and new dog) were really attracted to the Quicksilvers; simple, lightweight, and very well built. We are ex-tenters and wanted to keep it simple. Still plan on cooking outside so we didn't want a stove , fridge, etc. Just a comfortable place to get out of the weather without being in a tent on the ground anymore. I've spent some time going over it, making sure everything is in good shape, and also done a few MODs to it already. I added a pair of 6 volt batteries as we plan on mostly dry camping, set up some LED lights and fans, and extended the bumper out 18 inches so I could mount a diamond plate aluminum storage box on the back to give us storage for stove, lantern, tarps, poles, etc. along with a place to strap on some water jugs. It also balanced out the weight of the batteries on the tongue quite well! Right up front I'll say thanks to everyone on here for the wealth of information you have all shared - it sure helped us make a more informed choice while shopping for a pop-up! We both look forward to trying some of the delicious food ideas we've seen on here also... Kevin
Welcome to CanvasCampers from Eastern Pennsylvania. Quicksilver makes an awesome camper and is great for people who are true outdoor campers and just want to get off the ground. It's also a nice light weight camper for towing with smaller vehicles. Look forward to seeing pictures sometime!
