Hello, we are from San Diego but aren't the typical camper.  We own a lightly-used Mercedes 1017A military cargo truck and converted it to an expedition camper for dessert travel and camping.

Details of the interior shift cluster. This rig had the 20 speed transmission, splitter, and crawler gears

We owned a 1300L unimog before this one, I'll try to post pictures of the different vehicles.

Our first truck we bought in 1997 was a 1980 Mercedes-Benz Unimog U1300L.  We sold it in 2010.

The first one we looked at was from southern Oregan, the first we purchased (U1300L) was in Washington state on Lake Washington about 1/2 mile from Bill Gate's house.  It sold with the camper for $34k.  Here is a picture of the old one before being sold and the new one in the driveway (back).

Kathleen, very cool photos.  I could haul a lot of stuff in that truck.

Welcome! That is a super-cool camper! I've only seen two 'mogs "in the wild" in Pennsylvania.

There was a program on HGTV, I think, last week or the weekend before with "Extreme RVs".  The Mog was amongst them.
