I decided to just google Pet sites at PA State Parks to find out about getting more pet friendly campsites and found THIS ARTICLE about a pilot program where pets are welcomed into select modern cabins and cottages.  HERE is a link to the PA DCNR website with a list of the cabins.

I don't know about this.  Dogs in buildings can be a touchy subject.  Personally I wish they would open up more pet friendly campsites where my dog is in my camper/tent.

I know service animals are allowed in buildings, this is about the family pet.

What are your thoughts?

I'm all for opening more opportunities for families who want to camp with their dogs, but cabins could be a potential problem. What do they do about people with allergies who have the cabin reserved for the next week?

I'm all for seeing more campsites opened up to pets, though. See my post under French Creek SP 6/1-3/12.
