Dismal interior lighting

I'm looking for suggestions about how others have dealt with interior lighting in a popup.

The lighting in our Coleman Rio Grande is just dismal in both quantity and harshness of the two original ceiling lights (replaced with led's because we prefer to dry camp).  The florescent lantern we use on the table does nothing to help either.

Looking for a soft warm glow throughout - not necessarily lots of brightness

Any suggestions

We have a small lamp that we set up. It sometimes sits on the dinette or "end table" by the door. It's very nice, especially for nighttime.
