Elmira, we have only used our shower 2x but use it for storage all the time. Rather than take away the integrity of the built in "tub" and shower, totes are stacked and stored in the tub part. The seat above the tub is used for a smaller flatish tote that holds extra towels and wash/dish cloths. We also have a wall organizer that hangs on one wall that we use for toiletries and such. Our mop and broom are also stored across the tub totes and toilet when we fold down and then stood up when we are at camp. No photos because the camper is not on our property.
We use our shower for storage too. There are command hooks on the wall for toiletry bags for each of us. Below that hangs a laundry bag. On the floor sits anything else, case of water, large bag with heavy coats and boots, etc. other than the hooks, though, I don't have shelf or anything. It's just a flexible space. I would think you could do a nice storage shelf, the plastic heavy duty PVC kind. I would want to secure it to the wall I think.
