smoke alarm

We added a small 9volt battery smoke alarm (ours did not have one) it has a small metal bracket for attaching to ceiling we used a rare earth magnet and attached to one of the metal ceiling ribs

nice addition, better to be safe than sorry. Though, ours always goes off When DW is cooking, that's how I know the food is ready  :D, Please don't tell her I said that  😉

If I use the toaster, I take the battery out first.  Once the dishes are done, I put it back in.

OK that idea is not working well as the smoke alarm randomly goes off not sure why but will try a different one to see if this one is bad.  Next mod will be to add a 12volt power port thinking side of counter near door tap into outside entry light wire inside counter
