Hello everyone,

I'm a pretty passionate gardener who is growing ornamental gourds for the first time (threw a couple of gourds that decorated my Thanksgiving table out behind my leatherleaf viburnum and lo and behold they sprouted).

I have several gourds on my vine, (round bottom, slim neck) but should I 'cure' them (or varnish them?) somehow to extend their shelf life?

Any and all advice would be greatly appreciated!
