HAPPY CANADA DAY to everyone ....

While your all out and about today please take a moment to say thanks to the veterans you may see, and offer a silent prayer for those who never made it back to our great country...

95 years ago Canada and the Dominion of  Newfoundland Kicked off what became the bloodiest battle of WW1
...

"Of the 780 men who went forward only about 110 survived unscathed, of whom only 68 were available for roll call the following day"

Happy Canada Day!  :clappingani: We are all very lucky and should never forget those who fought for that right.

Happy Canada, Brother.  This was the weekend that always worked out well for me.  Canada Day on Friday, the 4th of July on Monday.  I double celebrated.

Hmmm some how I forgot to include the fact that the battle of the Somme began 95 years ago Today ...    Guess it was the time I posted..

I double celebrate as well ...  Canadian flags today (and almost everyday during the spring/summer and fall) and American flags go up on Sunday...    Lets just say I have something in common with a Tom Cruise movie ...  😉

Now if I could just find a reason to fly my Northern Virginian Battle flag ...    ::)  I'd be all set ...  My U.N. realm of neighbours might not like it,  but it would look so cool even draped over the roof of my truck ...
