What have you done or intend to do to prepare yourself for emergency food and water supplies or other items?

We have stored food with a 45-yr. shelf life (unopened) and have used much of it for a hedge on rising food and gas prices at home and for camping. I have also purchased an additional grain mill (electric, got a manual one w/the food pkg.) to make my own bread products. Not only is it more wholesome (especially as a diabetic!), it is amazing what you can make in bread and roll varieties.

As a point of information, if you order from AugasonFarms.com today (11/9) before midnight, you may be able to make a contribution for free of soup mix for the victims of the northeast storm. This is the food company we use and I just ordered some veggie beef stew for us and Augason Farms will send 2 packs up north.
