We don't camp most holidays because it's so crowded but I just love the holiday and decorating.  We even put out pumkins and other things when camping different times of the year.  What's your favorite holiday and why?

My favorite holiday is Christmas.  It is such a beautiful and peaceful time of year.  Everyone seems to make more of an effort to get along.  It is too cold in our area to camp but if we did we would definately decorate.

Any holiday I get a day off work to camp. Christmas is my least favorite , it's become too commercial and it's too cold to camp.

Veterans Day, Memorial Day and 4th of July.

(There's a connection there.)

I have a few holidays that are big to me and a lot of it is the look on kids faces...

4th of July: I get goose bumps during fireworks while stopping and thinking about how lucky we are.  :clappingani:

Christmas: Manger in the front yard, music playing through the house,  sending cards to my friends and family.  (I try to avoid a lot of the commercialized side of it.)

Halloween: is a lot of fun especially with kids or the kid inside.  ::)

Halloween is our favorite time to decorate and it's only a few weeks away.

2 days after a certain Irish Holiday is the Italian Holiday, St. Joseph's Day, March 19th.

Yes, I know I have a good Polish name...Ostrowski...but my Mom was Italian. I remember going over to my great Aunt Carmela's House and the Aunts would be cooking.  Most of the family would stop by at some point.

My love of the Holiday is also due to attending a Catholic school with Irish Nuns.  They always talked about Pat, but never about my guy, Joe.
