With the recent increases in gas prices which is a .30 increase over the last 3 weeks I am thinking a lot of people including me are thinking "O geez, I am going to need to cut back on the distance of my trips.  I have 4 trips of 4 to 5 hours driving time planned all ready for this year so I was worried.

Then I took the numbers and actually ran them.  Lets say a 300 mile trip allowing for 15 MPG.  300 divided by 15=20.  20 gallons times the .30 increase works out to be $6.00.  To my way of thinking, I am not going to allow the idea of my trip costing me an additional $6.00 cause me grief or thoughts of not doing it.

I know I was surprised that is all it worked out to, are you?

I'm not happy  >:( about the cost of gas and don't even know the reason they are sticking it to us again for another .30.    I really like your view Bill and after thinking about it, I wouldn't let $6 - $10 stop me from enjoying a memorable weekend with friends and family.  Even though I don't like the increase, it's nice to put it into perspective.
