One of my Boss's is going away for the rest of the week and someone mentioned this saying. What have you done while the Cat was away?
I remember my Mom going away on a business trip for a week and my Dad liked to refinish furniture in the garage. Well it was cold outside and I came home from school to see my Dad sanding and staining a piece of furniture on the kitchen table. Mom would have flipped out if she knew.
When I did Landscaping in college my Boss went to Florida for Easter. I took the truck home every night....better to use his gas than my gas.

1. My dad was in the Navy when my folks were first married. They had a small apartment near the base. My dad would go out to sea for a week or so and then be home for a week. My mom would repaint the apartment every time he left, so he never knew what he was coming home to. They actually got in trouble because they weren't allowed to paint!
2. A woman at my church wanted to remodel a bathroom in her house, but her husband said they couldn't afford it. He went away on business for a week and while he was gone she remodeled the bathroom all by herself!
