Where do you store your grey water tote while traveling?  Has anybody done a mod to the back? We used to strap it down to the top of the pop-up but now have a hybrid.
thanks!

I'm in the planning process of a mod to carry the grey water tote on the bumper.  Of course it will be empty, but will make a lot more space available.

I've also been looking at fabricating a mount to put it on the bumper. The holdup, for a while, was finding a local welder. I finally found a local guy, a retired welder, who still has a shop at home and does excellent work cheap.

I always carried the tank in the truck, but the new truck has a shorter bed than I'm used to so I have to look at some other options for a few things.

I was thinking of going with a bolt together solution.  Probably just angle iron.

I just got my grey water tote, so just started thinking about it.  I'll need to move my license plate bracket and maybe the light.

I thought HTT's had an onboard storage tank.  Didn't know you still needed a portable tank.  Is this just some models/makers?

They do but this weekend we were overflowing and needed the tote to dump some. We did not have full hookup.

An older post but I can answer it with what I am currently doing.
We have a 15? Gallon tote and I put it on the rear bumper between the spare and the camper.  One bungee holds it in place.
This works for now but I don't like the way it looks.

In the next few weeks I plan on making a tray of some sort that will be under the camper.  Some sort of hinge so I can slide the tote into the tray and then lift up the tray and lock it to the camper.
It should fit between a couple of the cross members of the frame.  At least I hope so.

When I do tackle this project, I will take some pictures and post them here.

My 2005 Fleetwood manual makes reference to a bracket up under the p'up, but I've never found any evidence that it was there or even intended to be there.  Does anyone have a picture or even a drawing or manual page that shows the factory arrangement for mounting the tote under the p'up?  I'm pretty handy with a welder if I only knew what I was trying to duplicate.

On our hybrid, I think there is enough room to put the portable grey tank underneath similar to this.  I will want one side to be hinged so I can lower the other side and roll the tank out for use.  Then just raise it up when done and lock in place.  I will have more of a tray instead of a single bar as shown in the picture.

rabird, you ROCK!

That doesn't look anything like my tote, so that explains why I couldn't figure it out on my own.  And I suspect that, even with the pic and drawing, I won't be able to get my tote under there as it's too tall.  But there's a sheetmetal shop that owes me a favor or two.  Heh heh heh.

Thanks man!
