This wasn't the mod I had in mind when I started.  I wanted to extend my water heater drain valves under the front of the camper but I was also tired of climbing under the back of the camper to drain the water tank.  I changed the size from 1/2" to 3/4", added a 90, ran 18" of pipe and put a valve on the end flush with the frame.  Then I added a strap to secure it.  Cost $17 or $18 - The orginal mod: the water heater valves are attached to pex and that's a whole other issue.  If you have have a similar mod, please share your experience and photos if you have them.

I replied to your thread on adding extended drains for the hot water and main line drains. It was pretty easy to do since I did not have to remove the OEM drains. I just added tubing and new drain cocks. I just leave the orginal drains open and then use the new ones to open and drain the system. There are additional pictures of that mod in my Niagara album in my webshots album

I installed a valve and pipe on my first camper.  It was a fun project.  On the second camper, We just open the faucet and let the pump empty the water tank before popping down.
