Is there such thing as an after market indicator for your fresh water tank?  I would like some external source that would show remaining gallons left in the  fresh water tank.

You want a system where you don't have to insert any sensors into the tank. The most popular system for tank measure uses external sensors on the tank that can sense the level and read it back as a % of full.

The See Level II is the most well known as it can do 3 tanks, propane and battery power. There is lots of competition for it, so there price can be very reasonable.
