My husband went out to crank the Apache :chief: open today, and the the crank snapped off after two turns :'( . I am not sure how to handle this? Can I get a replacement? What do I do? Can anyone offer a suggestion? Steve A, you have an Apache, do you know if they sell replacements at the parts store?
@MKR Thanks for the link, I'll have to check it out. I just love these old Apaches. I'm hooked and I haven't even had her out yet :hah: @Steve He hasn't got it back yet (they've been pretty busy at work), so I'm not sure whether it will hold or not. Thanks again Steve, it may look like you haven't responded, but you've been very helpful and a valuable resource for those of us with "oldie but goodie" PuPs ;D.
I did think about breaking the Roamer out. Just as well we didn't, rain the past two nights and I've got a crack in a bedend I've got to repair.
FWIW, when I'm on the road (or laying in bed, like now) I access CC and Apachepopups with my trusty CrackBerry.
I do highly recommend you also joining Apachepopups or the Yahoo! Apacheowners group. The accumulated Apache knowledge is unsurpassed.
