I saw this Dometic Cabana Awning (screen room) on camping world's website.  Seemed a little expense but a great look.

Just purchased mine for $150 for a 10' from Ebay - they had 10' and 16'. Mine is still in shipping/enroute - can't wait to try it out!

I like the concept though !

Roll-up mesh sides and removable front privacy panel let air in, keep bugs out

I believe it replaces the AWNING/BAG on the camper....

It fully closes.

There are ZIP in privacy panels included.

See pic on listing where it totally closed up:

He has it attached to a pickup truck slide-in camper!  As long as you have a C-rail or want to add one - it will work.

It DOES replace your awning. And this one (at least from him) doesn't store on the side of the camper for travel.  You must pack it up into a travel bag.  The BAG only weight 23 lbs (mind you that is with box too).

It is MUCH lighter and smaller than a normal Bag-Awning and AAR (Note: the AAR is heavy and bulky - which has to go in the camper anyway)!

Will have to try it out and post here....ONCE i get it that is...

Well I went ahead and bought a Cabana to replace my old awning , waiting for it to be delivered to my house. Has any one installed one on their pop up and is there any mods. I have to do to get it to set up right ? The price seems a little to cheap , hope I wasn't another ebay sucker here !!!

Love mine, have had it up since Sandy blew thru, I dropped it and tied the ends to the bumper and the tongue. It is stronger than I thought, again Love it 8)

Since our pup doesn't have an awning, I am definitely considering one of these.

I can put up/down by myself, very easy and I love that it can be an awning, breezeway and screened room with privacy if wanted or needed to shield the sun/rain 8)

What are the tie downs like?  Are they stakes with guy lines?  I'm interested but some areas I'd like to camp can be pretty windy as they're in the Columbia (River) Gorge.  And jfilz, I'm thinking eBay as well.

tent stakes thru loops at ground or the sides are rolled up. 2 guy lines in front, I had the Cabana up when Sandy started, we hit gusts of 35+, It held up real well, never collapsed or blew up or over. When the rains started along with the wind I dropped it and tied it to the tongue and bumper.

Not sure how long they will last without deteriorating? My tent lasted for 18 years but my Brothers Pup awning looked brand new on his 78, so time will tell.  8)

Hmmm.  So if I have an awning on my Starcraft this would just slide into the same rail that my awning is currently in?  Definitely would like to have something that I can put up myself.  I can put my awning up, but when it comes time to pack up rolling it by myself is almost impossible!!!!  When I camp by myself I have to ask a neighbor to help roll it up. Of course I can always find a kind neighbor, but would like to be able to doit myself just in case there isn't anyone around.

Can anyone who bought it on ebay attest to it's quality?  Is it a fake, or the real thing, just a quarter of the price?

Yes, it is the real Dometic Cabana Awning, I bought it from Bannerbreeze on ebay. It does fit into the awning rail but get a bigger size so the ends touch the ground or you have to add material. I love mine. Quite a few members on another forum purchased from Bannerbreeze too, They are all pleased so far.

Mine came yesterday , surprised the screening is as heavy as it is , I wont set it up till spring , snow in the air here in central Pa. The directions are easy and straight forward it seems , over all pleased with the purchase so far but will pass final judgment on it when I set it up. The way I looked at with the price on ebay even if it lasted me maybe 3 seasons nothing to loose really !! 8)

May be a dumb question but what do you mean by bigger size?
