I'm always excited to see all the Coleman/Fleetwood pop up and travel trailers on the road and in campgrounds. Hopfully Somerset RV can carry on the know quality traditions since 1967. How many owners are here?
2000 Coleman Westlake and prior was a 1986 Coleman Columbia. Dream daily about an Avalon. :sotired:

I had a 1984 Coleman Columbia and then I upgraded to a 1992 Coleman Seneca. I am now getting ready to upgrade again to a Class C in the next few weeks.

First PUP'ed in an old Cox (borrowed) as a Boy Scout on a week long camping trip in the early 60's. It was heaven compared to the Army surplus WWII pup tents. First PUP came much later in the early to mid 90's with an '84 Coleman Royale. Used it for a couple of seasons before replacing the original canvas and adding A/C and replacing the original awning. Caught a case of "bigitis" and bought a 25' mini-Winnie Class C and gave the PUP to our daughter. We soon found out that while there were some nice things to be had aboard a Class C, the Winnie seemed to enjoy draining the budget.
Spontaneous camping trips became a thing of the past. Fuel costs seemed to rule out many weekend jaunts while the added expenses and work involved (engine, tranny, maintenance, insurance, 16.5" tires, toad etc.) continued to sap the fun as well as the funds out of camping. We found ourselves camping less and less. To make a long story short, job changed, camping time dwindled to nothing, ice storm destroyed Class C and damaged PUP. Sold Class C. Sold PUP. We did not want to stop camping, however our work situation was not conducive for camping and we were without equipment. Making payments was not an option and it seemed like every time we decided on a type of camper and/or had the money for a serious bid, something came up that required the funds.
Two years ago DW has a heart attack and a quad bypass. I decided it was time to make some changes. At the time I was working two jobs and running a photo business. Priorities changed. We were in the market for either a Hybrid (19' or less) or a 12' PUP (w/ cassette/shower, & A/C). Nothing new, but not junk. Year didn't matter and price was more a matter of condition than NADA. After a lot of looking, several wasted trips, missed campers, misrepresented units and worst of all sold units that were not removed from the posting (wastes so much time), we bought a N2U '01 Timberlake.
The price was right. The camper has been kept indoors when not in use. Canvas is original and in excellent condition.
Floors- solid with minimal wear on vynil.
Curtains and upolstry- clean and show no wear.
Cabinets- one drawer with an issue, otherwise not scarred and in good working order.
The 3-way reefer has been removed, the owner said it totally died on him (puked yellow fluid) replaced it with dorm reefer.
Cassette/shower- looks like new.
Inside of roof- all solid.
Exterior- paint and decals bright and shiny. Two small dents on front of roof. A/C shroud needs to be replaced. Tires will need to be replaced. Bearings packed this spring. No rust on frame.
Battery- up and appears to be in good condition.
Underneath- clean and shows no damage.
Lift system- cranks effortlessly. Beds slide out easily.
I spent a good amount of time going over this PUP before pulling the trigger and even though it now belongs to me I must say it is the nicest used PUPs I have ever looked at and I have looked at a bunch.
It is sitting in my driveway at the moment. I intend to pop it up this weekend and maybe have some pics next week. DW got a tick bite a couple of weeks ago and has Rocky Mountain Spotted
Fever If she feels better by next W/E we will probably make our maiden voyage.
thank you for your concern. Picc will be delayed. Had to put DW in Hospital . We tried two different types of anti-biotics with no results. Our family Dr. put her in two days ago on an IV anti-biotic. It seems to be doing the trick. He thinks she might be able to leave tomorrow.
Be sure to use repellent and check often for those nasty little buggers. Not all are carriers by any means as I have been bitten several times this summer with no ill effects. Watch out for flu like symtoms (no coughing or congestion), fatigue and muscle soreness following a tick bite. See your Dr. and get a blood test. He suspeected RMSF and started her treatment early. Other folks that I know suffered for months before having the test run and a long slow recovery.
