The rear bed on my new FR was a bear to put back in. Terry said he had the same problem. I asked Peco to look at it, Response from Tech was: remind owner to use second slot from the bottom for the poles. I was told during the preflight to use the middle slot. The front has three slots, the back has four. Just did a set up take down at home with the poles in the second from the bottom. Works great! Duh.
The zippers are impossible to pull all the way down. Or they were until I put a zip tie in then to give me a finger loop. Now I can pull them all the way down from outside. Hard to get started back up but we'll figure that out.
Also figured out that the toggle bolts that hold the beds out are easier to operate from outside both setup & teardown.
When will we get three days of sun!

Just took our new 625D to PECO Saturday. It is 2 months old and I expected to have a few things that would need tweaked. Had a slow water leak at the filter that was just enough to wet half of a towel after a 3 night camp. Also had trouble with the rear bunk at the open end of the track. We have been using the 3rd notch up also. HMMMM. A couple other minor issues like the RVQue grill was falling apart and we have never used it.
Overall we are very happy with our PUP and look forward to many years of Happy Camping in it. I made zipper pulls from pieces of 10" para-cord torch sealed, knotted at the loose ends and looper through the zippers. They work great.
Right now, I am pretty hapy with PECO. Will let you know how the repairs turn out.
PS, We met at the rally.
Yes Jarhead, I remember you and the delightful time watching the DGDs put together the whateveryoucallit for pot luck. Had some, it was good.
The Marine uses parachute cord, the Signal Corps weenie uses cable ties, figures.
I baptized the grill at McKinney and it survived one use.
I had a leak in the filter area, but hand tightened everything & it went away. Haven't actually put the filter in yet. I've been sanitizing water tanks and general organization.
Peco is good people. Forest River good value but really quality workmanship not included. Peco replaced the rear drawer support but the front is a little too wide so the drawer doesn't really ride correctly. I think that's a paint stirrer shim under the screw.
Wasn't there 4th new FR pup there? You, Terry, me & ??

They also make Viking and Clipper.
I had (in a former marriage....) a 2008 Viking Epic 1906. It was my first popup. It had many great features (we ordered it loaded), and it was reasonably built. I now have a 2013 Epic 2107 (bought primarily because I liked the 1906), and it reeks of cheap and shoddy. My feeling is that Forest River is squeezing out every last penny of profit at the ultimate cost of customer satisfaction.
Don't those people realize that we talk? We share stories and observations -- good AND bad.
Most sales people will tell you, "There's nothing like word of mouth advertising!" True. Except, of course, it cuts both ways.
Terryjs1 had problems with his camper as well! I noticed if I lifted the rear bunk up a little, it seem to help slide in a little easier. He also witnessed a water leak behind the hose hook up on the inside of camper. He took the out side screws off and slide the fitting out and found the connection on the inside was hand tight. He tightened the fitting with pliers or channel locks and all was good afterward.
He still has some issues, we advised him to take it back to his dealer after he returned home to get everything checked out and repaired since he was still under warranty.
We also learned he had heat strips in his Coleman a/c unit. Dealer didn't bother to let him know at purchase set up.
Here's why there are a lot of problems...

Scary, huh?
Now compare this to Fleetwood...

Hi All
Sorry its been so long since we have posted. Plate is over flowing lol
We have had nothing but trouble with our F.R. pup. We regret buying it. We are at the point of retaining a attorney.
Seems like anything that could break, has . So frustrated with them. We had a arrogant nasty repair person show up at our house
to fix the winch for the 3rd time. Burned up motor twice and a short once. PUP was stuck up and manual crank would not work. Frann was so scared of him that she called 911.
I could go on and on but will spare you the details.
I would never buy a Forest River product again and will do everything I can to tell people not to buy from them.
We sure are missing you all, and am hoping you are still having the spring rally. one way or the other we will be there.
Terry and Frann
Terry & Frann, so sorry you are (still) having problems with your PUP. JMHO, but maybe an attorney could get you some relief and stop all the stress. We all know you don't need anymore stress. Hope the family is doing well down in GA and very excited you want to come to the spring rally 2014. ;D Keep watching the Southeast Spring Rally - 2014 topic. We are in the discussion/planning stage right now. Feel welcome to come down whenever and we can get some folks together to make you feel at home. Good luck with Forest River repairs!
Ty Judy for your kind words. We will be in Tenn. for two months. Then off to Georgia for a month or so .
We have to fit two weeks in, New Orleans while we are in GA also. lol then its rally time and back to Tenn for a month , then home.
Of course this all is tentative on having our PUP fixed or replaced.
We really have missed the fellowship with all of you. Hopefully we will be seeing you all in a few months.
Terry and Frann
