Many people get great deals on new and N2Y campers.  What did you pay?

We have a 2009 Coleman Utah that we bought off season and when the 2010 campers had come out.  I guess that makes it a left over.  We got more then we paid for our prior camper as a trade-in and about 25% off list for the new one. We paid $13,100

We got a great deal on our original 2008 SeaPine. We bought it new with AC for $7000, and traded it in almost 2 1/2 years later and got $6500 for it. So we got 2 1/2 years use of it for $500.

That money was the downpayment for a new Flagstaff 2011 HW27KS, which we will pickup in March in time for the Spring Rally.

A 2008 Fleewtood Cobalt.  Bought new.  The local ripuoff dealer wanted $7500 for it, no sand pads.  Went on the "internet' (maybe you have heard of it, the local dealer apparently hasn't) and found the same trailer in Colorado Springs for $6100.  That is the sort of math I can do, got the trailer, sand pads and extra propane hooks, saved $1500 (including less taxes) and have never darkened the local dealers door again.

Did you say Coleman?  Are they still in business? Not!!  I too, have an 2007 Fleetwood.  Let's see if anyone honors our warranties.

After much debate over options needed vs wanted, I went basic with a '92 Starcraft Meteorite. Picked it up for $1K. Needs a little work to get the features I want but it is a solid camper with a lot of nights left in her.

It was either 8 or 900 bucks for my 91 Flagstaff.  I had to drive170 miles to get it but it was well worth it.  I did put new canvas on it.

We paid $9000 out the door for our left-over 2008 Viking 2308st in the fall of 2009.  We were happy with the price. We sold our 2003 Viking 1906st for about what we paid for it.  Best part was no financing, no debt.  We paid the difference out right.

Paid $7300 cash for our 2011 Livin Lite Quicksilver 8.1.  Bought it out of state so I had to pay tax and registration fee when I got it home.

I have a 1983 Coleman Columbia. It was camping ready, but I decided to give it some TLC. I gave $350. for it.

Our hand me down pop up was free from friends of the family.  An 86 starcraft SLE 21.  I did have to do some repair to the roof and will probably need to fix some spots in the floor this year but for free we couldn't pass it up.

We bought our 2000 Viking Saga 1906 in 2010 for $2500.  We found it on Craigslist.  We were the first to call on it.  By the time we got to the sellers home, about an hour, 4 others called to be put on a wait and see list.  As soon as we agreed to buy it he took it off CL to stop the calls.

Bought a 2004 Flagstaff 227 with a new awning for $4500 in 2007.  Looked at it still attached to the current owners TV.  Talked to them and had the issues taken care of.  Old owners were retired and couldn't crank it up any more and traded it in on a new 625d

Bought a 2000 Westlake in 2008 (November) with AC for 3,500 no ABS roof problems, thank goodness. We love it!

Hey my FIRST post here!! 🙂

We got a great deal on a 2002 Coleman Fairlake in excellent condition for just under $5000.  It included a screen room too which I thought was worth at least half of the camper's worth! lol

But after seeing some of the prices in this post I'm beginning to wonder if we got hosed.. 🙁

Welcome Dean.
The price you pay is weighted on many facts.  The ultimate question to ask yourself is if you're happy with you unit.  If you are, stop worrying and enjoy.
