Stupid PopUp Trick:
I was setting up in a heavy rain on Friday, unhooked the latch on the four corners, started cranking and BAM!  >:(  One of the latches flipped back up and a lift cable broke.  With some help, I used a piece of wood to hold up the one corner for the weekend.

I've downloaded our lift system manual https://canvascampers.com/inde.....tion=dldir and removed the broken cable.  Now, to buy a new one and get it installed by Thursday.
Can I buy one or are they a set of 4?  I have picture and will post them soon.

There are two different types of Coleman lift cables that attached to the wiffletree.  One with a loop and one with a threaded bolt.  I have the threaded bolt option.  Looks like $39.95 plus shipping: it includes the cable, size chart and crimp tool.  I cut the cable to the length that is needed.
Wait: local dealer just called back and they have it in stock for $30... no shipping.

That makes it a lot simpler.  When I did work on another project that had aircraft cable, I didn't have a tool to cut it cleanly. Just took it down to Home Depot and they cut it for me no charge in their rental tool department.

Coleman advertises buying the plyers seperate from American Lifting Products in Coatsville, PA.  They are 10 minutes from my office.  I called them, they provided Coleman will all lift cables and much of the hardware but the smallest order for cable is 20,000 ft. - I'll be running to the dealer this evening.

Are you going to tackle this at home or do it at the campground?

I currently have the camper on my next door neighbor's mechanics lift and the corner post and cable removed.  I hope to pick up the cable tonight and install it between Tuesday and Wednesday evening... crossing my fingers.

Well, I camped over the weekend with a board holding the corner of the roof up.  You can do that when you are camping the 6 other guys that you know.

Monday evening was a frustrating evening until 11pm with little success while laying on a tarp in the soaked lawn.  Tuesday was much better with the lift cable installed and the camper opened up.  It is airing out and drying now from the weekend.  I need to still adjust it so all corners are opens level, planning it for tomorrow evening.  I have a few pictures that I can post.
