We have a few soft spots in our 92 Coleman camper and I'm considering adding a 1/4 sheet of plywood subfloor over the existing floor to make it more solid and less springy. There was a leak at one time which has been fixed.  We are also considering some type of outdoor carpet if it would still be easy to clean.  Any reason why I couldn't do this?  I think the cabinet will just unscrew and should be easy to remove.

Depending on the size/softness of the floor, 1/4 inch may not be strong enough to span the area without sagging when walked on. You'd be much farther ahead by cutting out and replacing the bad areas. Cut far enough, of course, so the edge of the patch rests on a frame rail.

I have a 1992 Coleman as well.  I had 2 spots that were spongy.  Both right where you jump down out of the bunk.  I crawled underneath and put a 2x4 between the metal frame supports in the area that was spongy.  It is still a little spongy, but it helped tremendously.  I do remember having to keep in mind where all of the cables were and the pullies so as to not intefere with the lfit system.
