We purchased a used 2002 Niagara Elite about 2 months ago. We absolutely love it. My husband is new to camping and I am new to camping in a PU. (Always camped in a bumper pull trailer). We are learning by trial and error as we go. The people we bought it from hadn't used the camper but 2 times so they decided to sell it. They too were new to camping and a lot of the questions we had they didn't know the answers. It came with an awning, which we finally figured out, a screened in porch, which we have no idea how to set up, and solar blankets to go over the beds. In theory we know how they should go but we don't understand how they attach so that wind doesn't blow them up off of the area they should be. Any and all help would be greatly appreciated.
The blowing off part is controlled by clipping or clamping them to the trim/binding around the edge of the bunkend. I found something called tarp clips at Walmart, then found Shark Clips at the True Value or Ace hardware store. Whats nice about them is that they can be adjusted for tightness, where as a clip is spring loaded and may or may not be tight enough depending on the amount of wind you have.
Your screen room, is it the kind that is set up separate of the awning, or the kind that attached to the awning?
