This maybe a dumb question.  We are going camping Friday and coming back Sunday.  If I keep the heat going at night. Could I get away with not winterizing til Sunday when we are leaving?  Thanks!

How expensive is your camper? How handy are you?  😛

I camped a month or so ago and waited until after to winterize.  The low was 17degrees and the high was around 45.  I disconnected the water overnight and opened the faucets to release the pressure.  The inside of my camper was about 68-70 overnight.  The water lines froze every night but eventually I got running water back by 3 pm each day.  When I went to dump on Sunday my grey valve opened fine but the inside was frozen. Luckily it had a little trickle of water coming out and eventually melted the big chunk and it dumped ok.

It's barely going under freezing, so I'd guess you'd be ok.  I've had a camper with plumbing for 3 whole months now so take my advice as you want  ;D

This is what I plan to do.

Put the winterize in the auxiliary water tank.  Cut the pump on and go ahead and winterize the in door and outdoor shower. We can use the showers at the place.  Use the sink as need and at night after everyone is done brushing and dishes washed i can use auxiliary through the sink and in the morning use water from park to rinse sink pipes back out.  The hot water heater will be fine since it will be on of course and I can mix the water in my thetford with winterize too.
