My 4yo son LOVES Dutch Wonderland.  We have season tickets and go often.  They have a Christmas event called Winter Wonderland on the weekends Nov 23- Dec 29 in the evening.  Normally the tickets are $35 each but this event is only $13 per person over 3.  Not all of rides are open but many of them are.  They also decorate the entire park and have hot chocolate and it is just a really nice experience.  HERE is a link to the Dutch Wonderland website with the dates and times.

The OLD MILL STREAM CAMPGROUND is right next door.  DW and I are going to camp for at least one night so that we can relax before going into the park and then we don't have to drive home at 9pm.  They have 3 clean bath houses located throughout the park so none are far from the campsite.  It is a private campground so the sites are tight....but the benefit of being right next to the amusement park is a huge plus.  The sites are $49 for Electric/Water/Sewer/Cable.

DW and I are looking at going Nov 23, 30, or Dec 14.  Is anyone interested in meeting us there?  You don't need to have a kid to get into the holiday spirit.  There are plenty of rides that teenagers or adults can go on.

DS, DW, and I went yesterday and had an AWESOME time.  We are going to go back on the 14th as well.  I have loads of pics on my phone.  It was decent weather and the park was not crowded at all.  Yes, some of the rides weren't open, but hey....for $15 there is plenty to do and see.  They have an awesome light show.  I highly recommend getting the refillable mug of hot cocoa.  It is $6 for the first one and $1 for each refill.  I had 3 refills....Mmmmmm

Here are some of my pictures from this past Saturday.  Even though this is a kids theme park I always love going and seeing the magic happen and how much joy the kids have (and parents).

Welcome to Dutch Wonderland!!

I dislike these games of chance  :banghead: There is a height requirement on man of the rides.  I thought of a good one to keep Nathan away from the games of chance.....he's not tall enough  😉 It worked except he knows he has played the ducks before so I had to let him play this one.

And since it is Christmas time Nathan helped me put the tree up

Samebutdifferent and I were going to go this weekend but now they are calling for 2-4 inches of snow on Saturday.  The park probably will be closed like they were last time it snowed 2-4 and plus it won't be much fun to drive an RV or trailer in  🙁  I think I have next weekend open but we'll see if DW lets me go  🙂
