Heading out for a couple weeks and wondering if anyone local to where we are going can offer any advice on things to do while in the area.
Also, if anyone is near any of these places and wants to stop by to say hey, or join us while there, let me know.

We will be at......

Santee State Park (S. Carolina)......June 19-20
Pocohontas S.P (Virginia)...............June 21-23
Codorus S.P. (Pennsylvania)...........June 24-29
Fairy Stone S.P. (Virginia)..............June 30-July 2
Andrew Jackson S.P. (S.Carolina)....July 3-5

We've been to Pocohontas a number of times.  There are two areas of the campground - the older section is less level, but more shady.  The newer section (higher site numbers, IIRC) that is more level but has less shade.  All sites have electric and water.  If you have pets, beware the $5/night/pet fee for VA state parks.

[li]It has a few trails to hike, a small lake to kayak on and has a good sized pool with some water slides. [/li][li]Richmond is within easy striking distance.  I know there's a place called Maymont that I went to a number of years ago and thought was interesting. [/li][li]I do know there's a golf complex on Iron Bridge road, south of the park.  It has driving, a nice mini-golf course, and possibly an 18-hole course.[/li]

Wish I could be more help.  Most of our trips there have been for micro-rallies or just weekend decompression/relaxation, so we didn't head outside the park much.
