Please vote for your availability.  You can vote for as many choices as you want.

At dinner after the Lehigh Valley RV show some people mentioned cabin camping in February to keep our 12 month camping streak going.  Anyone interested?
NOCKAMIXON State Park in Bucks County PA has Modern cabins with running water, heat, kitchen, etc.  Nockamixon does not have a campground so we have never been there but it is close to many of us in Bucks County.  I think it is close enough for people to visit if they want as well.  HERE is more info on the cabins.

The 2 bedroom is $106 per night and has sleeping for 6 in a double bed and 4 bunk beds.  The 3 bedroom cabin is $136 and sleeps 8 in double, 4 bunks, 2 bunks.  Are we friendly enough we could share a bedroom????  Both cabins would work out to be $17 per person per night if we put a head in each bed.

Cindy's Boyfriend has to work the weekends of the 7th and the 21st.  I can go camping without him... but would rather go with him.  But, that leaves it risky to miss out on February (again) if there is bad weather the last weekend of the month.

Guess you can't convince DW of a romantic valentines day in a cabin, with other people?    :anono1:

I'll let you try to convince her of that.  Cindy's BF and I can probably cook up a nice meal.  But you would also have to deal with a 5yo.

I would agree with you yak......if we didn't camp the rest of the year in tents and campers.  I think we get a pass in the cold weather months.  Plus we want to try and get some different people out in the winter time that don't normally camp in the cold weather but might do it in a cabin.

Plus I just want to get together with everyone and have a beer.  I don't care if it is in a cabin, tent, camper, RV Show, etc.  I have fun with everyone and want to hang out in February.

Promised land has pickerel point open    My only concern about winter camping is getting salt all over the trailer and frame.    Unable to wash and rust forming.      Freezing to death I'm ok with.

RnR could do the first weekend. Cabins would be fun to try as would the snow shoe training!

I'm sorry I started this then got busy at work and have been MIA.  This weekend isn't going to work for me so it looks like 21st or 28th.  I have committed to something at church every Sunday so I need to be close to Downingtown so I can get to church by 10am each week (showered is optional but preferred).  So I have to stay close to Downingtown.  Nockamixon would be cool in a cabiin but I think we need enough people to commit to going for the weekend to make it cost effective.  Otherwise we have the BOGO coupons for campsites we can use at French Creek.

Who's committed to going?

I can't do it.  Kids this weekend, wife in NC.  Next weekend: outdoors show Harrisburg,    Following Weekend: youngest daughter turns 3 party.

I won't make it out camping until the spring opener.

By Monday we should have a 28" snow base up here.
