Is anyone planning on doing any Halloween Camping?  I have heard that it is tradition at some campgrounds to decorate and trick-or-treat on surrounding weekends.  Has anyone participated in something like this?

I am asking this year because next year my son will be 4 and I think he would have a blast  camping and trick or treating.  Plus he gets another chance to wear his costume.

it is a fun time for the kids ( and some adults)

best bet is to find a campground with a calendar of activities posted.

We always camp this time of the year and love the changing weather.

That pic looks cool ! Yes, I think the adults have just as much fun  O0 .  I have checked a few campgrounds.  I found Birchview in Coatesville PA and West Chester KOA in my immediate area.  Has anyone been to one of these?  Or another campground in PA for Halloween?

We camped Halloween weekend in Salem, MA last year.  I'd say nothing can top that  😮

Would have loved to camp for Halloween - however is snowed last night and I don't take the popup out when there is freezing temps (the vinyl windows could crack).  Some of the best RV/Marine clear vinyl specs I see is okay to -12c or 10F without cracking... but my vinyl is not that.  Thicker "Automotive Grade" 0.04" thick vinyl is good to -35c or -30F - but have yet to see that in popup (typically 0.02" thick).

I would love to organize a Rally next year for Halloween in the PA area.  I just need some info of what campgrounds really get into it.  Salem would be cool for Halloween, maybe in a few years I'll try to head up there.

Anyone in the PA area interested in a Halloween Rally next year?

we are interested in Halloween rally too - we have been going to Gettysburg Campground for Halloween for past (10?) years and love it. The campground books early for these & we have had to reserve a year in advance -so you might want to do some checking for next year soon- and it is great fun for kids & adults

Justchillin- is it Gettysburg Family campground where there was a Rally earlier this year?

Thingette's Sister - That sounds real interesting.  I like the Chainsaw carving, I told DW for my 40th birthday I want one to put in the front yard  :camperkid:

Any other campgrounds around PA that have known Halloween activities?

Lone Lock - Yes, it is the same G-burg campground (where I met your infamous leader) -they now do 3 weekends of 'halloween' camping-it is very popular , and I am pretty sure that most of the area campgrounds do the same
