Actually it could have been down right terrible, but turned out just fine.  We spent the weekend over at French Creek.  I backed in to the site while Kate and Cora came in and started unloading goodies.  Kate passes by the right tire and made some comment like "Is that the way that's supposed to be?"  She pointed out a golf ball sized bulge on the tire that wasn't there when I checked things over at home.  Luckily I hadn't leveled up yet so out comes the jack and spare.  After getting it swapped out turns out that not only was there a bulging growth in the sidewall but a 2 1/2" slice along the center of the tread!!  Luckily the spare is almost new and I check it before we leave the house.  I did find a nice little walking stick on the ground next to the jack when I went to lower it back down.

Aside from that little issue it was a nice weekend, a little bit of rain Sunday but nothing that a game of go fish and Monopoly Jr. couldn't handle.

Cora found it easier to relax in my old hammock while I packed up this afternoon.  Can't blame her it does look comfy.

No one got hurt .... so that makes everything great! Good thing the bad tire didn't happen on the road either. Whew!

You said it Judy!  We were originally going to take a longer drive for the weekend (closer to 4 hrs instead of 1).  I'll be swapping both tires out before the next trip just to play it safe.

It was a nice trip I must say, we were expecting to get washed out with rain and it turned out to be fairly nice fall weather (good thing the heater was packed it did get a little chilly overnight).  Since my daughter had off from school today we figured it would make a great camping weekend, she is turning into a marshmallow roasting pro!

Sounds like a pretty good trip! Maybe the tire problems was a good thing to see before it blew out on the road. How old was the tires? I guess the good Lord was letting you know in a nice way that it's time to replace them before a diaster.  :baseballhat:
