Has anybody been there? A coworker suggested going to wellsboro. That it was beautiful and there was a train ride (which my kids would love, the big and small) and its near the PA grand canyon. Is there other stuff to do?
Would this be a suggestion for next years big trip?

We camp at Ives Run (ACOE) Campground at the Tioga Hammond Reservoir. They do have some full hook up sites. And boat ramp access is in the camp ground. If you are headed up there, you might want to do a day trip to Corning Glass Museum and make something at the Studio.

Love the Corning Glass Museum!! That is a "must do" on any trip near it.

Stony fork is right around the corner from my old stomping grounds.  I've never camped there (been fishing in the area).  I would definitely be up for a trip back home.  In fact I could probably get my dad to get you some first hand info.

We camped there a few times for the Wellsboro Rally.  It was OK.  Nothing bad but nothing overly special either except perhaps the ability to camp right on the creek if you can get a site.  The owners are characters to be sure.  I have to say even with all the weekend traffic I would still be more inclined to camp at Leonard Harrison State park right on the rim of the canyon.
