Our first time camping at Blue Spring State Park near Orange City FL will be for Thanksgiving. Will be spending time during the holiday with our good friends Kevin, Kelly, Becca and Bailey Dugan (KDUGAN) 😀
This will be our third time camping during the holiday and is also our longest trip of the camping season. After our 3 nights at Blue Springs we head to Tomoka State Park in Ormond Beach FL for an additional 7 nights. :dans2:
If anyone is in the area please feel free to stop by and say HELLO...at Blue Springs SP or Tomoka SP :guitar:

We'll be in Orlando for Thanksgiving, maybe get over to say hi. No camping this trip just down to be with family.
Please do...that would be great. Just let us know...we do the Black Friday thing but not the 5am thing. We spend the afternoon shopping for deals... 😀 😀
Hey there everyone...just an update on our trip to Blue Springs SP. We had a GREAT time and definately will be planning a trip back...especially since our friends the DUGANS are just down the road.
We had site #15 and it was awesome...large but not a lot of shade. Showers were good...could use a good renovation but does the job. Just a short walk to the swimming area which was closed because the manatees where there.
Here is a link to photos:
We'll be heading down this weekend if there's a spot open otherwise it'll be Manatee Springs. We drive down from Jax frequently to see the manatees in the run during the winter months (NOW) and to dive it as a cave / open water dive during the summer. It's only a 90 min. drive for us and as others have said it's a great place for camping, fishing, canoeing/kayaking, swimming in 68 degree water year round (assuming the manatees aren't there otherwise it's closed to any water sports).
My girls like the playground and to explore on the trail to the boardwalk. They also have a little store and restaurant at different ends of the park.
