Recently purchased 2002 Starcraft 8 foot pop up. I have installed new wheels and tires 5.30 x 12 as came off of it. Not real keen on the 12 inch wheels as I feel they will be rotating very fast. This is a light weight unit with only one slide out bed. Weighs about 1350 lbs. could I have or should I have gone to a 13 inch wheel. Hubs are 4 lug. Any experience with 12 inch wheels? How common are they. Could possibly looking at a 2000 mile trip next year. Thoughts and experiences appreciated. Thanks.

I had the same size and went to a ST145R12 radial tire. It tracked much better and i found it shook things far less in the trailer.  The over all height difference was 0.8 inches. I looked into 13" wheels and had the clearance but would have to buy 3 with rims and I'm cheap. I went up 1 load range to give myself an extra safety cushion with weight. The tendency was to over pack the camper. Hence the name "The Jammit Inn" When your ready put your old ones on craigslist as they are used on a lot of boat trailers.
