🙂

There are a couple of "strings" attached, though.  ::)

1)  It's a plug-in, so that's not a true 70mpg, just "equivalent".  You still have to pay for that electricity and they never factor that into the advertisements.

2)  It's a GM that's been reworked.  But the thing that caught my attentions was:

3)  It has an exterior plug to provide external power ... a boondocker's dream if the tank's full or close to it when you get there!

4)  But you'd better have a piggie bank by the bedside that will hold $79,000 worth of coin!  :-X

First let me say that I am in no way knowledgeable of electric vehicles. He states that it is capable of 800hp 70+mpg, but it only has a 40 mile range on the battery. I'm clueless!!!!! :dunno: Exactly how is this possible? I feel like I am back in Chemisty class again for the 6th time. 🙂

Don't know about the HP.
Easy to get 70+ mpg though.
Drive 40 miles, stop and charge.

Get tired of stopping to charge and just use the gas motor to get where you want.

This what I thought but I didn't know. The hard part will be hauling all those 211,200ft extention cords to plug her up out in the woods.

Lol, I have to laugh sometimes at the numbers manufacturers give to hybrids.
As Belchfire said, they do not include cost of electricity or the cost of batteries every few (5?) years.
All those batteries must be heavy too and cause extra wear on suspension, tires, brakes, etc. but I don't know if they use beefier parts to compensate for this either.

What they also don't tell you is how much it costs to rig your household elec. to charge the truck. You need to buy a special transformer and wire 220 amp. service to the outside of your house. Now lets see , a pro. electrician, transformer plus parts, does anybody have a extra visa card I can borrow ????????????? Buying the truck is the easy part !!!!

So you get 40 miles on the battery when you are driving normally, but what about when you are towing your camper. I am thinking that that 40 miles becomes about 20.

They also don't say how much of the payload capacity is taken up by the battery's.
