I have new Firestone airbag lifters on my TV. Pressure in the bags is to be a minimum of 5# to a max of 35#. The 5# of pressure is in the system, do I increase the pressure before I hitch up the Pup or after? My thought is that since I am to use the bags to maintain a level TV with the weight on the hitch, I should put the air in after I hitch the Pup to the van. If you have used airbag lifters, How have you used them? :reader:
Thanks
Mike
I don't have them but if it doesn't say anything in the instructions for the airbags, I would inflate prior to hitching up. Like O1YF6 said, its easier to make adjustments afterwards if needed. And I bet after you hitch up a time or 2 you will know exactly how many #'s you need.

Never used air bags, only have read posts of others who have. But I'd make a guess that it's better to let a little air out after inflation then finding out there's not enough and trying to inflate with all the weight (hey, that rhymes!) ~
Like all things related to camping/campers/towing, we learn a bunch by the practical experience of doing it. Of course, it sure doesn't hurt to know some of the pitfalls of others who experienced before hand!
