Ok so my durangos towing capacity is listed at 4400lbs. I am looking at a 19' hybrid that is total dry weight I'd 2851 and a load capacity of 2428 dual axel. I will be using a weight distribution hitch. Is this something that is able to be towed safely? We normally stay within 1-1-1/2 hrs from home and 1 Longer trip up to knoebels. We also normally take a second car so it we load that up instead of the truck? What does everyone think. My wife is tired of the work envolved in opening/closing it up, before and after each trip.
Thanks
Steve
What is the Hybrid you are looking at?
The numbers you gave don't sound right. Dry weight is 2800#'s and you can put another 2400#'s in it for a combined 5200#'s? I would expect a 2800# trailer could have a total capacity of around 4000# (1200# of gear). Maybe even less around 3500#'s.
