Where do you store the bars, the tool, and the big hitch?

I have had a WDH for 1 month and I was looking at the "stuff" this weekend wondering if I am storing it right when not in use or if I should do something else with it.  Currently I just lay the bars accross the A frame and the hitch is sitting on the ground under the A frame.  The tool (pipe) that I use to hook up the bars/chains is just laying on top of my battery box.  I am worried that the tool will get lost.  The hitch is big and heavy and I just don't know where to put it.

Where do you store your WDH stuff?

When at home, I keep all little parts including tool in the storage in the trailer. The bars are in the original box in my garage and the hitch is in my garage under my tool bench. I would be wary to leave it all out, especially with metal theives everywhere and the weight would be a decent payday and easy steal just sitting there.
At camp, the bars are in the back of my truck and the hitch and little parts are in the storage in my camper. Once again, unattended, they may walk away.

Best Regards,
Norm

At home, the bars are in the front storage compartment in the trailer. The cheater bar (tool) is kept in our designated "set up" tote (Lynx, chocks, level, awning tie downs, etc) which sits right inside the trailer in the doorway, & the hitch has a plastic bag on the ball & is on the basement floor in our house.

At camp, the bars are usually on the ground just under the trailer or in the storage compartment. The cheater bar is always in the set up tote which finds a place under the trailer while camping, & the hitch stays locked on the truck.

I like the idea of the tote with the Lynx Levelers, chocks, and hitch stuff.  I can just have that in the TT when it is in the driveway and then put it in the truck for the drive.  I can probably keep the hitch in there as well.....although it will be heavy.

My WDH is powder coated, not painted.  It sits on the tongue of the camper and is rusting at 3 months old.  :-[

We leave the tote right in the doorway of the trailer for the drive. It sits on a doormat & one side is up against the back of the dinette seat & has never moved in transit. When we get to the campsite, it's the first thing we bring out with all of our set up items in one convenient place.
