1. Be Nice To Others
We are a family oriented outdoor and camping environment so we ask that anyone posting consider how a comment, remark, or response has been phrased before hitting the 'post' button.  Smiley faces can help if you need a way to add nonverbal communication.  Posts that directly attack another member or moderators that seem designed to stir up emotions and controversy will NOT be tolerated.

Do not post any material which is false, defamatory, inaccurate, abusive, vulgar, hateful, harassing, obscene, profane, sexually oriented, threatening, invasive of a person's privacy, adult material including nudity or pornography, or otherwise in violation of any International or United States Federal law.  Swearing and other foul language that others may find offensive, especially if it is language you wouldn't wish your children to hear. We ask that you keep in mind what one person may find funny or fine, other people may find offensive.

2. The Three Gs (God, Government and Guns)
Religion, Politics and Firearms also known as the Three Gs (God Government and Guns) are particularly controversial and passionate to many members.  This is an outdoors and camping forum there are other more appropriate forums to discuss these subjects.

3. Registration Email Addresses
Member accounts found to have invalid email addresses may be subject to suspension.  We do not share or otherwise make available email addresses for any reason to any group or individual without permission.  Admin or a moderator staff needing to reach you is often the only reason that a correct email address is required.

4. User Name
You have the ability, as you register, to choose your username. We advise that you keep the name appropriate. With this user account you are about to register, you agree to never give your password out to another person except an administrator, for your protection and for validity reasons. You also agree to NEVER use another person's account for any reason.  We also HIGHLY recommend you use a complex and unique password for your account, to prevent account theft.

5. Copying Content
We would ask that when sharing information from other people or other sites that you be mindful of either an implied expectation of privacy and or any existing copyrights that may exists.  Please do not paste articles from other sites here unless you include the source in the footnote of your post.  Please do not post your address or other personal information, this is the world wide web and someone might show up at your door.

6. SPAM
Sending SPAM or any other form of advertising through the CanvasCampers private message or email links is NOT allowed. Violators will have their accounts locked and ban from the site.

7. Signatures
Signatures are usually used to share additional information about a member or make a statement about the member. Signatures are allowed to feature links to other sites provided the sites meet the above requirements of number 1 and 2.  Signatures that contain advertisements are restricted to a single line and should be for something the member is personally associated with but not a site that could be considered directly competitive with this website and forum.

8. Posting Advertisements
Advertisements posted in threads for commercial ventures are not permitted.  Any posts that appear to be an advertisement for a service, business, product or any other form of commercial venture will be removed without notification at the discretion of the moderator staff.
