diference between chicken stock and broth

So from a cooking aspect what is the difference ?

One you make soup with, the other you cook with.  Other than that I think they are the same  :dunno:

we use the stock to make broth....lol

the only difference between the two could be the addition of salt to
make a broth out of a stock.

stock is great for a more abundant flavor too.

Chicken stock is made from the bones
Chicken broth is from the meat and bones..

Broth is made with meat or meat and bone and is simmered until the meat is tender and cooked. The meat is then pulled from the pot and later either joins the vegetables in a soup or is used in another preparation.

Stock, however, is made from bones only, which, along with the vegetables, simmers in the liquid for hours. Stocks often are unsalted because they are frequently reduced and serve as the base for sauces.

Broth is made when vegetables and/or meats are simmered gently in water to extract all the flavors.  Stock is made when vegetables and meaty bones are simmered gently in water to extract all the flavors.  Simply put, if the mixture was not made with bones, it is not a stock.
