I know it is Fall when I Smell ...............

the acidic nail polishy smell in the air from the cotton crops being turned and bailed, and the smell of chicken poop fertilizer in the peanut fields being spread !

Here in central Florida, the smell of camp fires.
Alright, they are just fires in people's yards because it is finally not too hot to have them but I think of camping.
It is about to be GREAT camping weather in Florida.
Don't tell anyone. Lol

When we lived in Boca, fall meant long lines at the restaurants and movies. The return of the snowbirds was always a topic of discussion!

I guess in a way, it cut back on the smells and tastes of eating out and popcorn at the show!

I know it's Fall when I smell that our house windows are no longer left open all day and night - to me, no house can ever smell as good as the outdoors, it's just not the same (though cooking favorite foods comes in a close second)!

I know it is fall, when the entire neighborhood smells of burning leaf piles, and the after smell of piles of pecans being roasted from getting scooped up in the leaves.

Oooohh... burning leaves is a GOOD one!
