Can you share the drink you have in your hand? love me some Martinis
Depending on what episode you watch, it could be one of three classic drinks we make at LGManor. We will do an entire show on cocktails in a few weeks.
A Manhattan - 2 parts VO Canadian Whiskey to 1 part sweet Vermouth, single shake of bitters, 1 tsp of maraschino cherry juice, and a cherry
Martini - Note that everyone calls any drink in a Martini glass a Martini, but the original Martin was/is Gin. We drink a very very dry martini with a ratio of 7:1. For a single Martini, 3.5 oz of good quality Gin, .5 oz of dry vermouth, 3 olives.
Cosmopolitan - when in a sweet mood. Rather than in ounces, this will be in parts. Now what you use as a part is up to you. A part could be .5 of an ounce, and ounce, a jigger, a cup, a gallon. 2 parts Vodka, 1 part Triple Sec, 2.5 parts cranberry juice (NOT cranberry juice cocktail), 1/4 part lime juice.

While omelets are typically made to serve just one, Frittatas can serve a crowd and can also be eaten hot or at room temperature. Frittatas are cut in slices like pie and unlike omelets, Frittata fillings are mixed in with the eggs in the pan rather than folded in the center.
In this recipe, Peter is using Bacon, Mushroom and Spinach, topped with shredded Swiss cheese. Learn this basic skill of Frittatas and the choice of what goes inside is open to your imagination.

Chicken in a Purse is a wonderful combination of boneless breast of chicken topped with herbs and Boursin cheese all wrapped up in Phyllo dough like a pretty package. This dramatic display will have your guests thinking you were in the kitchen for hours.
There are many things you can put into your wrapped purse, from chicken to beef and seasonings. Learning this basic skill will give you the confidence to create your own special purses.
What would you put in your Purse?

Build an appetizer board with Blue Cheese & Beer Dip in a Bread Round. Easy for inside or outside snacking. This recipe is so simple and requires no decorating or plating skills.
Add other dipping items to go along with it. Don't just put the same old carrots and celery for dipping, get creative. How about pretzel rods, cucumbers, pieces of apples, oranges, fruits, different type of crackers, bagel pieces - the sky is the limit. Even try different bread rounds like pumpernickel, sour dough, olive loaf and Italian boule.
This a great time to visit your local cheese shop. There are many types of blue cheese from very mild to very strong. Add to that the diffe
Not a fan of blue cheese - what type of cheese would you combine with a flavorful beer - and what would you put on the board to dip with?

Grilled Watermelon Salad - Arugula, Feta Cheese, and grilled watermelon drizzled with a balsamic vinegar reduction is the perfect summer salad. Grilling a watermelon actually makes it sweeter as the gill marks caramelize the watermelon. The salt of feta cheese and the sweetness of the balsamic reduction is a flavor combination you will enjoy. This same recipe works for many summer fruits - peaches, nectarines, cantaloupe, honeydew, etc....
What type of grilled fruit would you use in this summer salad?
