Why not put your percolator on a camp stove?  This way you can use it to heat/cook other items other than coffee.

$129 for a stand alone coffee maker, or you can spend $50 for a Coleman drip coffee maker that you set on a propane stove.  Or you could just boil water on the stove and use a $20 French Press!
