We moved from Ohio to Nebraska early this summer. We have not been camping here yet, but we would love to get out once before winter. We would appreciate your recommendations.
We love campsites with tree's. We're spoiled having lived in OH, CO, and UT. We are now living near Omaha. Which, by the way, is a great city.
Thanks for any help.
Ty
We lived there on and off for a few years (and love Omaha - CU grads), but we never camped there!
I don't know if this helps or not, but there are CGs (free, not so expensive, and other pay sites) on this link: http://freecampsites.net/attri.....states/ne/
Check out IA too since a lot are near Council Bluffs and Sioux City a bit north. Good luck and hope you get out before the snow sets in.

...I am going to have to share it with a couple of friends that like to camp. CU is getting a lot of press right now because they are one of the "Most School Spirit" contenders for the Today Show.
That's great for CU. Two BILs (med school), a SIL (finance), a DN (MS Med.), my DH (Pharm., and a DD (law) are CU grads. Creighton is high in school spirit and, we think, rightfully deserves to be! We also enjoyed living in Omaha with so many nice cultural events as well as the Henry Doorly Zoo. We were there in '72-'76 after one semester in '68. I used to work at Physicians Mutual when they were on 42nd St. and now they sit on property where we lived in an old house that was demolished to make room for the PM campus. Also love the "new" riverwalk.
