We're going to be at Gifford Pinchot June 8-10, if anyone is in the area or looking for a great state park to camp at. We're on site 107, near the beach in the A loop.
Before last year, we always camped in the B loop. With our grandson (and mom & dad!) joining us for part or all of many trips, we decided to get closer to the beach and playground so we wouldn't have to buckle him into the car seat for a three-minute trip.

Enjoy your trip. I haven't been there since before my son was born (2 1/2 years ago). It rained on Sat evening and DW and I sat in the camper with the baby name book and agreed on Nathan.

You'll be in our backyard. (almost) We'll try to stop by and meet you, have lots planned already, but we'll try to swing in for a quick hello. Rock-it pizza on Rt 382 between blinker light in Lewisberry and the 83 interchange to the south(Newberrytown) makes cheese steaks and a cheese steak boli that are very good.
Penn dot has construction on 83 north and south right around the Lewisberry exits, so be careful.
Have a great time!
We'll have to check out Rock-It one of the times we're there. We go past it all the time. If we're looking for a restaurant we usually tend to head toward Dover, but always open to new places, and I have a soft spot (probably the one around my belt line...) for a good cheese steak ;D
The construction on 83 is a real pain!
Look forward to meeting you if you get a chance to stop around!
Joe: The sites around 119 are nice. We often camp in the 270 area and 310-315. We just started checking A-loop sites more in the past year.

Only saw your Friday message tonight. We were getting hooked up and already had everything turned off by noon Friday.
We really enjoyed meeting you & Winter! That was a nice way to pass Friday evening, just relaxing and enjoying a nice conversation under the awning! The rest of the weekend was great ... a bit hot in the afternoons, but great nonetheless! We spent Saturday morning cruising the lake and checking out turtles and birds. Our son & family came in the afternoon and stayed till early evening. We had a hard time getting Brady to eat any supper because he was ready to hit the beach! Sunday was another leisurely lake cruise, a little packing, some time at the beach and then finished packing and, unfortunately, had to hit the road for home.
Very, very nice weekend, though!
