50 minutes(30miles) from Knoebels.  Shady Brook CG, Beavertown PA was nice.  There are a lot of seasonal sites. But they had a fair amount of overnite sites as well.  The seasonal campers are friendly and welcoming.  The owner is there all the time and was Very Helpful.  He bought campground 5-6 yrs ago and has made improvements every year.  The bathhouse is brand new.  The new picnic tables are being built by the local high school. He is leveling and putting new stone on all the overnight sites.  The driveway is being improved for drainage .  The electric and water hook ups have been completely replaced and can accommodate 50, 30, and 20 amps.  There is LOTS of water pressure- be sure to bring your pressure regulator, you will need it.  Lots of trees. 

The owner, Dave, is also the regional director for the  PA Campground Association.  The pool was clean and refreshing , it has nice steps to get in and out on. There are activities and things to do every Saturday. The owner is working hard to make this a real nice place.  The previous owner hadn't done much in a lot of years.  Most of the seasonal sites are newer campers.  All are well kept an clean.  Empty non leased, seasonal sites will be available to overnight guests as well.  The campground is 15 min from Selingsgrove, PA.  Dave went out of his way to accommodate our family of three campers on a holiday weekend with a two weeks notice.  We would return here. http://www.shadybrookcg.com
