Anyone use cellular antennas when they camp?

We always bring our computers + air cards and our iPhones. We have both V & ATT. (sometimes I have to work when we camp >:() We can also watch Netflix, Hulu and DVDs. A lot of our SP's have cable hookups for basic. But when we are high up in the mountains the signals are weak or nothing at all.

My air card has a jack for an external antenna

I've got a CrackBerry Curve II and DW's got HTC Desire (Android thingy).  We're on US Cellular.  Pretty much anywhere we go we get decent reception... so far.

You can talk on mobile phones?  I thought they were for sending/receiving texts and emails, playing games, managing your checkbook, calculating tips, browsing the web and posting on here!  ;D

I have one of those crackberry curves and I barely talk on it.  I'd say 10 mins per month.

Off the subject:

I used the eBay app when we're on the road as we're often buying and/or selling.  I had Slacker and Pandora on my Pearl and dumped the Pandora.  Slacker just came available to me for the Curve.  I have it but thus far other than testing, haven't used it.
I've found a program called Bolt that allows me in a lot of sites that java kept dicking with.  Some people swear by Mini Opera but that's only because they haven't tried Bolt.

I agree about T mobile. I had it and lost signal when I would sit down in my house.
